How to create a Binance Sub Account API Key

If you don't enable futures at the sub-account creation stage, you won't be able to enable the futures option later. If you haven't read how to do this earlier, now is the perfect time to do so by reading this article

The API key for a Sub Account must be created from the Sub Account dropdown list

Create Key

1. Click Create API

2. Select System generated, then click Next

3. If the Sub Account was created using a virtual email In the Sub Account dropdown, choose the email associated with your Sub Account name. The email will have a suffix added to the name you created, such as virtual@***email.com For example, if your Sub Account is named Example, the email will be example_virtual@***email.com

4. If you created a Sub Account with a regular email instead of a virtual one, you'll need to select that email when choosing the Sub Account

5. Enter a name for the API Key Label and click Next

You need to complete all of the following verifications to continue

Authenticator verification

1. Choose Authenticator App on your screen

2. Open Google Authenticator on your mobile device and copy the 6-digit code from it

3. Enter the 6-digit code generated by the Authenticator App

Setup Restrictions

FIRST Setup IP access restrictions: Choose Restrict access to trusted IPs only (Recommended) And paste the following IP addresses ↓

Click Confirm

THEN Check the following boxes: ✅ Enable Futures ✅ Enable Spot & Margin Trading

Click Save to save the API Key settings

Do not forget to click SAVE

Security Verification Requirements

You need to complete all the following verifications to continue

Authenticator verification

1. Choose Authenticator App on your screen

2. Open Google Authenticator on your mobile device and copy the 6-digit code from it

3. Enter the 6-digit code generated by the Authenticator App

Email verification

1. Choose Email on your screen

2. Open Email on your mobile device or PC and copy the 6-digit code from it (The email will be delivered to the email address linked to your Binance account)

3. Enter the 6-digit code that you received on your Email

Temporarily save API Key and Secret Key somewhere — you will need it later!

Check API key existence

Refresh the page (Ctrl + F5 for Windows and Cmd + Shift + R for Mac)

If you see the Label ↓ HMAC next to your API Key name, and ✅ Spot, ✅ Futures and ✅ IP Restriction are highlighted with checkmarks, you have successfully created the API key 🎉
